Lots of shooting and pretty much nothing else. The impression of war I got from this film is one of a brothel on fire with incompetent, brainwashed kids in main roles. Rangers, too numerous to relate to, lose their arms and get lost themselves, they let their enemy take the initiative from them. These subtle comedic elements add an unintended ironic dimension to the obviously serious film, made to boost the morale. I really didn't need it to think about the sense of 'leave no man behind' rule.
