With bad acting, even worse script but loads of good CGI this is essentially a longer version of the trailer. What there is of the plot would be better suited for a computer game then a film with all its nonsense. Frequent references to the 'Judgement Day' makes it even harder to stomach in comparison, especially that Salvation actually had more potential for emotional engagement and good SF, to say nothing about F/X.
